Ryan M. Manning
Ryan is a partner in the Newport Beach office focusing his practice in the areas of construction, real estate, business and insurance coverage disputes. Ryan represents corporations, real estate developers, general contractors and specialty contractors in all litigation matters. His extensive experience includes complex business litigation matters, construction defect claims, contract disputes, insurance bad faith, labor and employment matters, and product and general liability claims.
Ryan has developed a reputation in the industry for being a results oriented, practical, problem solver who obtains favorable results for his clients through motion practice, trial, arbitration or mediation. Ryan’s unique ability to create cost effective solutions to complex legal problems is an invaluable asset in today’s challenging business environment. Ryan represents his clients in matters throughout California and has resolved hundreds of cases, saving his clients millions of dollars.
Ryan also spends a great deal of his practice advising businesses on risk management and litigation avoidance strategies. Ryan frequently educates construction managers, supervisors and superintendents on California’s Right to Repair Law, insurance and other risk management issues.
Prior to joining Newmeyer & Dillion, Ryan spent twelve years serving on active duty and in the reserves in the United States Marine Corps. Ryan was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2005 as a Captain. As a Judge Advocate, Ryan prosecuted hundreds of cases involving a variety of crimes, including premeditated murder, manslaughter, Iraqi detainee abuse, drug distribution and sexual assault. While in the Corps, Ryan gained an inordinate amount of experience in leadership and practical trial skills which he utilizes today.
Ryan resides in South Orange County with his wife and three boys and is an avid triathlete. He spends his free time training, coaching his active boys and participating in a number of different philanthropic groups.
