Biography
Mr. Manning is a partner in the Newport Beach office and specializes in the areas of Construction, Real Estate, Business and Insurance Coverage disputes.
Mr. Manning has represented developers and general contractors in all aspects of complex construction matters and handles insurance coverage issues arising out of construction claims. Mr. Manning also has extensive experience representing businesses in a variety of business litigation matters involving contract disputes, unfair business practices and premises liability claims.
Prior to joining Newmeyer & Dillion, Mr. Manning was a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Manning served as a senior prosecutor in the busiest trial section in the Department of Defense where he prosecuted more than 220 accused for a variety of crimes including premeditated murder, manslaughter, maltreatment of Iraqi detainees, drug distribution and sexual assault. During this time, he litigated nearly 10 cases to verdict, winning favorable judgments.
Mr. Manning received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with distinction from San Diego University in 1996 where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science national honor society. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 2000. While serving in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Manning received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps, Achievement Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, a United States Marine Corps Reserve Good Conduct Medal and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Mr. Manning lives with his wife and three boys in South Orange County. Mr. Manning spends his free time coaching and chasing his three boys.
