Biography
Mr. Burge is of counsel in the firm’s corporate group. He has over 40 years of experience representing clients in general corporate and corporate tax matters, including public and private financings and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Burge practiced for 17 years in the Orange County office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. He has served on the Executive Committees of the Los Angeles County Bar Business Law Section, the State Bar Corporation Section and the State Bar Partnership Section. He was co-author of the Merger Chapter in the California Continuing Education of the Bar practice book on California corporations, and has lectured extensively to lawyers and business executives in the area of corporate finance and mergers.
Mr. Burge earned a Bachelor of Science from McPherson College and received his Juris Doctorate from University of California Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 1959, where he served as an Editor of The California Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
