Biography

Paul Tetzloff is an associate in the Newport Beach office.  Mr. Tetzloff represents businesses and individuals in state and federal court in civil litigation arising out of business, construction and employment disputes.

Prior to joining Newmeyer & Dillion LLP, Mr. Tetzloff was a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps. In his nine years as a Marine, he served as the Senior Prosecutor and Senior Defense Attorney at multiple locations, and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Hawaii.  Mr. Tetzloff prosecuted or defended more than 300 Marines and civilians, including those charged with premeditated murder, sexual assault, aggravated assault, drug distribution, and larceny.  Mr. Tetzloff deployed to Ar Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with 2rd Battalion, 5th Marines, and he deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with 1st Battalion 3rd Marines. 

In 2000, Mr. Tetzloff graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.  He obtained his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2004. While serving in the Marine Corps, Mr. Tetzloff received two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, as well as the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, and the NATO Service Medal.  Mr. Tetzloff was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 2004 and the California Bar in 2011.  Mr. Tetzloff is a member of the Business Litigation, Employment Law and Construction Law sections of the Orange County Bar Association, and is a member of the November 10th Association.
