Biography
Ms. Whitehead is an associate in the Newport Beach office and practices in the areas of construction, real estate and insurance coverage matters. She specializes in in the representation of builders and developers throughout the development process, including acquisition, entitlement, and sale of the homes. Ms. Whitehead is also familiar with all aspects of real estate transactions, including drafting of purchase and sale agreements, construction and consultant agreements, CC&Rs, sales agreements, SB800/Title 7 compliance documents, as well as other construction-related documents.
Prior to joining Newmeyer and Dillion LLP, Ms. Whitehead served as the Director of Risk Management for a large urban infill homebuilder, where she managed the company’s wrap insurance program and other insurance placements. She was able to gain valuable expertise and insight with respect to insurance coverage, risk management, and construction issues facing builders and developers.
Ms. Whitehead was the recipient of a Leadership Scholarship to the University of Southern California, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. She later received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in December 2005. In addition to her Juris Doctor, Ms. Whitehead has a Master’s of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
