Biography
Gary A. Barrera is an associate in the firm’s Walnut Creek office and specializes in the areas of Construction Law and Insurance Coverage.
Mr. Barrera’s practice focuses on representing builders, developers, and contractors in construction litigation and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Barrera has experience in various litigation matters, including insurance, business, landlord-tenant, real estate, products liability and professional liability.
Mr. Barrera received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of San Francisco in 1993. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden in 2004. Prior to and during law school, Mr. Barrera spent several years working in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster, as well as working as a paralegal for a law firm specializing in insurance subrogation litigation.
Mr. Barrera is admitted to practice in California and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association and the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
