Biography
Ms. Zaist is a partner in the Newport Beach office, and concentrates her practice on business litigation, construction disputes, real estate litigation, and probate litigation.
She has significant experience in contract disputes, business and property torts, and trademark and trade secret disputes in both federal and state jurisdictions. Ms. Zaist has handled litigation over the mortgage crisis, including work on the subprime mortgage industry meltdown. Ms. Zaist also has considerable experience in alternative dispute resolution and appellate work.
Ms. Zaist received honors degrees in English and French Literature, magna cum laude, from Scripps College, of the Claremont Colleges, in 1996, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1999. Ms. Zaist was named in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 as a Southern California Rising Star, which is recognition of the top 2.5 percent of Southern California attorneys. Ms. Zaist is fluent in French, and proficient in sign language.
