Biography
Mr. Ammerman is an associate in the Newport Beach office. His practice focuses in the areas of Business, Real Estate, and Class Action Defense.
Prior to practicing law in the private sector, Mr. Ammerman served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Navy where he successfully defended several clients, obtaining multiple acquittals, in jury and bench trials. While a Judge Advocate, Mr. Ammerman served as the Navy’s Senior Defense Counsel for the Pacific Northwest. Prior to law school, Mr. Ammerman served as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy deploying twice to the Persian Gulf. Mr. Ammerman presently serves as a Lieutenant Commander Judge Advocate in the Navy Reserve.
Mr. Ammerman obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of San Diego School in 2005 where he graduated cum laude, and as a member of The Order of the Coif. Mr. Ammerman was also awarded the Owen Stark Heriot Award for the outstanding scholastic performance by a veteran or current member of the Armed Forces. In 1997, Mr. Ammerman graduated from the University of Southern California obtaining a B.A. in Political Science with Departmental Honors.
